I wrote the lyrics in 2008 and Strangely enough... the song seems to fit into place in 2010. You'll probably need to read the lyrics, as we were recording for a one track demo when this version was cut.
Acid rain pouring down
Oil seeping from the ground
Oil, oil everywhere
And not a drop to drown in
We live our lives looking in a mirror
When the future couldn't be more clear
All we see is our own reflection
The reason for this rejection
A bird sings its song about what's gone wrong
The story doesn't have to be to long
Then a shot rings out from the hill
One clean kill, and the chick... lies... still
The monkey grinder stops his song
While the monkey leads a sing-along
A fire's burning through the woods
While the merchant fights to save his goods
And we all fall down
We all fall down
Eye of newt
Claw of cat
Adder's toung
Wing of bat
Fairey Smoke
Graveyard Dust
Venus Hair
Thrown in for lust
Love lies idle
Love lies bleeding
Maypops grow where hearts stop beating
All thrown into a cauldren brew
And fed to me and you
And we're hyptonized by the evening news
And we all fall down
We all fall down
(repeat)
